Insurance

I am an in-network provider with most Horizon and Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.  It is important to contact your insurance plan to confirm coverage.  If I am in-network with your specific Horizon/BCBS plan you will only pay your plan's copay or deductible for therapy services at the time of your appointment.

If you do not have an insurance plan that I am in-network with, you have the option of paying out of pocket.  Contact your insurance to see if you have "out of network" benefits.  Out of network benefits can sometimes mean your insurance provider will reimburse some or all of your therapy fees so it is important to contact your insurance to learn more and confirm this information. A receipt is provided at the end of your session to submit to your insurance plan for out of network reimbursement.

Good Faith Estimate

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Based on a law called the "No Surprises Act" I , as a healthcare provider,  am required to give clients who are not using insurance or whose insurance I do not take an estimate of how much services will cost called a "Good Faith Estimate."  You are entitled to receive a good faith estimate of what charges could be for psychotherapy services.  While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given individual, the "Good Faith Estimate" provides an estimate of the cost of services provided.  The estimate will be provided to you at your initial appointment and explained to you.  The good faith estimate is not intended to serve as a recommendation for treatment or prediction that you may need to attend a specified number of sessions.

You have a right to initiate a dispute resolution process if the actual amount charged to you substantially exceeds the estimated charges stated in your good faith estimate (which means $400 or more beyond the estimated charges).
